Lehe Tzu Chi Health Promotion Camp
Technology + Humanities for Integrated Physical and Mental Health Treatment
Under the deep cultivation of Lehe New Medicine's philosophy of "Technology and Humanities, Treating Body and Mind Together", the second month course of the second phase of the "Lehe Tzu Chi Health Promotion Camp" - "Peace of Mind" - came to a successful conclusion in October 2025. In this warm atmosphere where 89 loving friends gathered, not only did they witness the deep integration of professionalism and humanity, but they also wrote a moving chapter of life and belief.
"Multidimensional Empowerment"
Building a rehabilitation ecology of "mind body harmony"
The core value of the "peace of mind" course lies in breaking the limitations of a single medical model and building a multidisciplinary collaborative rehabilitation support system. Under the guidance of Professor Zhang Minghui from Tsinghua University and in collaboration with the Tzu Chi Clinic, this course brings together top-notch medical resources and practical life skills.
Professor Qi Xiaodong, a well-known expert in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer in China, Tzu Chi senior traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Mei Huiwen, and general medical expert Li Hongwu brought cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment wisdom, while anti-cancer warriors Suihe and Zhang Lingyu shared their real-life experiences in the fight against cancer.
This fusion model of "scientific knowledge + traditional Chinese medicine + life practice" not only lays a solid foundation for the understanding of diseases among cancer patients, but also strengthens their belief in survival through professional support, perfectly aligning with the rehabilitation logic of Lexin New Medicine, which is to "activate immunity and balance mind and body."
It is noteworthy that the participation of several presidents and secretaries-general of anti-cancer associations in Jiangsu confirms the industry recognition of this model; and the five warriors who have been fighting cancer for an average of over 25 years, especially the 63-year-old who has been optimistic and moving forward despite experiencing seven types of cancer over three decades, have interpreted the profound connotation of "faith is the core variable of rehabilitation" through their vivid examples, injecting strong spiritual strength into the cancer patients present.
「 Humanistic Protection "
Warm Practice with Love as Medicine
Lehe New Medicine firmly believes that the healing of the body cannot be separated from the nourishment of the soul, and humanistic services are an important carrier of spiritual healing. In this event, the service team composed of Lehe family members and volunteers fulfilled their promise of "protecting health and protecting love" through actions: Wang Ying and Jiang Hongjing from the medical department provided professional diagnosis and treatment consultation to inject a sense of stability into anxious hearts; Peng Di from the Production Department, Qiao Jiacheng from the Communication Department, and Guo Donglin from the Communication Department record every warm moment with the "three in one humanistic truth, goodness, and beauty" approach; Zibo volunteers Li Hui and Zhang Wei silently devoted themselves to team support and logistics positions, allowing their loved ones to feel the care of family.
These subtle efforts vividly embody the Tzu Chi Medical Humanities' philosophy of "healing not just the body, but also the soul." Every service provider is a messenger of humanity, using smiles and companionship to fill the gap in psychological support provided by traditional medicine, allowing patients to feel solid warmth amidst their pain.
「 Echoes of Life "
Restarting the power of the soul through resonance
The true effectiveness of the course lies in the transformation and sharing of loved ones.
Mr. Ji from Kunshan City, after participating in four training sessions, made a firm statement of "I'm fine", which not only declared physical recovery, but also demonstrated the significant effect of the "peace of mind" course in activating life energy. The invitation to future banquets is also filled with love and expectations for life.
Ms. Du from Nantong, Jiangsu, and her sister come to this camp together whenever they have time. Her sister always arrives on time and has been here four times. She compares this place to a "charging station" for her body and mind, and a "home" for her spirit. This trust that spans thousands of miles, like a trickle of water, eventually flows into the harbor that Lehe hopes to build for every family member - a beacon that transmits the power of life, a home for body and mind that gathers humanistic care.
Shandong's transformation in October is more profound. Having grown from a recipient to a helper, she discovered that she could bring more smiles and embrace many people while organizing medical records for her new friends. She also realized the life wisdom that "a smile is a medicine". This is exactly what Lehe New Medical advocates - the reconstruction of the soul and the healing of the body are like two tracks, and only by moving forward simultaneously can true recovery be achieved.
When the course comes to an end, the emotion remains. Just as Lehe New Medical Hospital practices, cancer rehabilitation is never a lonely journey, but a journey supported by professional escort and humanistic care.
"Love is the best medicine in the world." This belief and warmth, nurtured in the "Peace of Mind" course, will ultimately accompany our friends on their journey towards a brighter future. Looking forward to resuming the healing chapter in November and kicking off the third-level course, "Calm the Mind."
